Anti-slip or Slip-resistant standards for safety shoes
The demand for anti-slip safety shoes today
With the needs of modern industrial development, safety shoes are widely used in all walks of life to protect the safety of workers’ feet. Anti-slip safety shoes are a type of safety shoes. Many companies require anti-slip performance when purchasing safety shoes.
Standards for coefficient of friction of anti-slip safety shoes
In the inspection report standard for labor protection safety shoes, the anti-slip performance of finished shoes requires when tested on a ceramic tile surface with a detergent solution, the friction coefficient should be greater than or equal to 0.28 when the heel of the safety shoe slides forward; when the safety shoe slides forward horizontally, the friction coefficient should be greater than or equal to 0.32.
Standards for the pattern of the soles of anti-slip safety shoes
The key to anti-slip safety shoes lies in the sole. The style, width, direction, and depth of the sole pattern will affect its anti-slip performance. From the perspective of the sole pattern style, the larger the width of the sole pattern, the greater the friction coefficient and the better the anti-slip performance. For example, under the same road conditions, the broken line pattern is better than the horizontal stripes and vertical stripes; from the perspective of the direction of the pattern, when the direction is 0 degrees and 45 degrees, the friction coefficient between the soles is larger and the anti-skid performance is better; from the perspective of the depth of the sole pattern, the anti-skid performance of the depth varies with different road conditions. On smooth roads, the anti-skid performance is better when the pattern depth is 2.3mm, and on rough roads, the anti-skid performance is better when the pattern depth is 3mm.
