What is KEVLAR Insole?
The Anti-puncture sole of safety shoes
Safety shoes play a protective role for people at work. The puncture-proof feature of safety shoes is one of the important components of safety shoes. The way to achieve this function is to put an anti-puncture insole in the safety shoes. In the traditional way, we put a steel insole. However, there is now a kind of insole called Kevlar, which can better and more perfectly replace the traditional steel insole.
What is Kevlar
Kevlar is a hot and strong aramid fiber material. The original name of the material is “poly-p-phenylene terephthalamide”. Due to its low density, high strength, good toughness, high temperature resistance, light weight, corrosion resistance, and ability to resist bullets, it is often used to make bulletproof vests or helicopter cockpits and driver’s seats.
Advantages of Kevlar insoles
Its advantages include soft, breathable, light, comfortable to wear and not easy to make people feel tired. Its weight can be halved, but its strength is five times higher than that of steel, and its density is only one-fifth of that of steel. The toughness of Kevlar laminated sheets is three times that of steel and can withstand repeated impacts. The insole has excellent anti-puncture effect, with a puncture resistance of about 1400N. In addition, it also has high heat resistance, flame retardancy, antistatic and acid and alkali resistance. When encountering flames, no toxic gas or molten droplets will be generated, further enhancing safety.
